Payment information for your TUI CARS booking
TUI CARS offers three different payment options for booking online at tuicars.com: Credit card, direct debit and bank transfer. You select the way you prefer pay in the last step in the booking process.
Credit card
When paying with a credit card, you can use any of the following cards:
- TUI Card
- VISA
- Eurocard (Mastercard)
- American Express
- Diners Club
When booking please note: At the time of picking up the car, the card holder must be the same as the person who will drive the car. If you don’t want to drive car and you are making the booking, you can put the details of the driver in the relevant box.
When picking up the car: It is important that the driver presents a credit card for the deposit. This is the best way to ensure that the pick-up procedure runs smoothly without any problems.
Direct debit (SEPA Direct Debit Mandate)
If you have an account with a German bank and the total price does not exceed 500 euros, you can book the car by providing your IBAN. You will also be required to give a SEPA Direct Debit Mandate in the booking process. Please note, that even if you pay the booking by means of direct debit, the driver will still have to present a credit card when picking up the car.
Bank transfer
If you are booking more than 30 days in advance and the total prices does not exceed 500 euros, then you can also pay means of a bank transfer. You will be sent the details for making the transfer in an email. Please note, that even if you pay the booking by means of bank transfer, the driver will still have to present a credit card when picking up the car.
PayPal
A payment via PayPal is possible, provided that the start of the rental takes place within one year. In this case, you will be redirected to PayPal in the booking process (after clicking on "Book now"), where you must log in and confirm the payment. You will then be redirected back to tuicars.com and a booking confirmation page will appear after a successful booking.
PayPal payments are free of charge for you as a customer. For PayPal payments, you give us the right to collect the total amount due from your PayPal account. We take into account the deadlines applicable to your car rental booking and debit your account at the right time.
When is the amount due for the car booked from your account?
The price for your TUI CARS hire car booking must be paid in advance, and at least 28 days before the pick-up date. TUI Cars gives you the option of changing the means of payment up to 28 days before the hire date. If you have added any extras to your TUI CARS hire car booking, such as child seat or navigation device, then you will have to pay these costs directly at the local car rental office at the destination.
